26th Annual Chili Bowl Midget Nationals to be Televised

According to many sources, the 2012 26th Annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals Presented by General Tire will be broadcast on a tape-delay basis on CBS Sports, helping the event potentially reach millions of viewers.

Preliminary air date is on Saturday, January 28, 2012, two weeks after the event.

The Chili Bowl truly is the Super Bowl of Midget racing, with racers coming from all areas of the United States, as well as International drivers from Australia, New Zealand and Finland. Over 250 entries are expected to compete in the prestigious event, which has been won in the past by reigning and three-time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart. Reigning NASCAR Nationwide series champion Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., is among those entered in the race also.
