The LA Times, as well as many other sources have indicated that Irwindale Speedway, the home for the Annual Turkey Nite Midget Grand Prix has both cancelled their 2012 season, and may be closing, for good.

Speculation leads to believe that Turkey Nite may relocate to the 1/2-mile dirt oval at Perris Auto Speedway, the 1/3-mile Dirt Santa Maria Speedway, 1/5-mile Dirt Ventura Raceway, 1/3-mile Bakersfield Speedway in Oildale or the soon-to-open 1/2-mile Bakersfield Speedway.
To note - Midget car counts have dwindled since the highly fames race moved to pavement years ago.
Both Ventura and Bakersfield have hosted Turkey Nite in the past.
